Starting with ADS-B reception and found a way how to overcome it. Sometimes planes fly veryĬlose above our house at a height of 400m, as you can see in thisĭue to this I quickly discovered the so called "doughnut effect" when
The Atmel in thisĬase also has access to all external serial interfaces. Used in any user defined PCB as a piggy pack module. Pins of the Atmel are accessible via pin headers, so this board can be PC is USB-serial, optionally a Lantronix Xport can be equipped on theīottom side, as well as a BTM-222 bluetooth module.įor own experiments or extensions, there is also on the bottom side aĪtmel ATMEGA can be equipped. There are no bottlenecks in performance sinceĪll tasks are running in parallel. The only change i think is using Dump1090 now instead of the rtl1090 as the SDR.FPGAADSB - A FPGA based decoder including one miniADSB+ receiver The Development of the FPGA Based ADS-B Receiver and Decoder (C) Günter Köllner, DL4MEA 03/2011 This below is where i learned how to set up planeplotter. I'm just now starting to investigate decoding TCAS and what it takes to do that. There are many programs and hardware options.Planteplotter, Flightradar, Flightaware's FlightFeeders, PiAware, and others.
I also upgraded my dongle to the Flightaware Pro Stick Plus (has a built in filter) which sells for $20 on amazon.
Since i'm living in an apartment currently, I only have a cheap $10 one that I recently upgraded from a $6. Also, there are plenty of diy websites out there.
I'd like to upgrade to Flightaware's $45 antenna, but not worth it living at an apartment since I can't really install it outside. Antenna can be as simple as $6 or $10 cheap anenteaa, to one that sells for a lot more. Basically it captures ADS-B and S-mode data emitted by aircraft in realtime.
It utilizes SDR.software defined radio drivers to capture and messages sent out by airplanes. It is real time tracking of real world airplane with information gathered off an antenna that connects to a USB dongle.
